The main Slovenian memorial ceremony to remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide took place on 9 July 2025 on the square in front of the Ljubljana mosque. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia and was attended by numerous state representatives, members of the diplomatic corps and public figures.<\/p>\n

The mufti of the Islamic Community in Slovenia is Mag. Nevzet Pori\u0107 and President Dr. Nata\u0161a Pirc Musar addressed the more than 500 people gathered at the event. The artistic programme included an exceptional performance of an excerpt from the oratorio Srebreni\u0161ki inferno, delivered by mezzo-soprano Nu\u0161ka Dra\u0161\u010dek.<\/p>\n

At the ceremony, I was responsible for media relations. I also moderated the program. This time it was bilingually, which was a particularly important and valuable experience for me.<\/p>\n
