On November 26, the Janez Trdina Cultural Center hosted the premiere of the new Slovenian feature film Belo se pere na devetdeset (Wash at Ninety), based on Bronja Žakelj’s autobiographical bestseller. The premiere was attended by director Marko Naberšnik, author of the book and co-writer of the screenplay Bronja Žakelj, and actress Lea Cok, who played one of the key roles in the film. The screening was followed by a discussion with the creative team, which offered a deeper insight into the creative process, the transfer of the literary narrative to the big screen, and personal views on the story that has touched many readers and thrilled more than 25,000 viewers in Slovenia alone during its first screening. The evening was moving and, for many viewers, deeply affecting. For me personally, it was truly unforgettable.
